Brennen was born on Hilton Head Island, SC. Eight weeks after his birth, Brennen was diagnosed with the fatal disease, Cystic Fibrosis (CF). Nineteen years later, February 21st, 2011, he underwent a double lung transplant in hopes of saving his life.

Brennen graduated from the College of Charleston where he majored in Theatre Performance- Acting and Directing ’14. He continues to perform both on and off stage in Charleston, regionally, and on the road as he tours his show, Breathe. Brennen is also a comedian, writer, speaker and advocate for CF. He is currently working on publishing a novel, a creative autobiographical memoir of his life which is an add-on to his show, Breathe. You can catch Brennen either onstage acting, speaking or on the road with his show. Brennen lives in Charleston, SC.

David is an award winning actor, playwright, and solo performer. Film/TV: Turn (AMC), The Inspectors (CBS), Codependent Lesbian Space Alien Seeks Same (Netflix, Moma). Original Plays: Silence of Lucky (78th Street Theatre Lab), Status Update (59E59, Edinburgh Fringe Festival), The Elephant in My Closet (Cincinnati Fringe Festival, Out of the Loop), Folly Beach (PURE Theatre, SPACE at Ryder Farm), Mary and Joseph at the Hampton Inn (PURE Theatre).

The Elephant in My Closet was named “Best Show” of the 2013 Out of the Loop Festival and Status Update was selected as the “Best Touring Show” of the 2010-11 Dallas/Fort Worth Theatre Season by the Dallas Theatre Critics Forum. NYC Acting: Stupid F*cking Bitch by Lucy Alibar (Ensemble Studio Theatre), Binge by Thomas Ward (Slant Theatre Project) MFA: Alabama Shakespeare Festival. David is currently working on two commissions, a new play for PURE Theatre (Charleston, SC) and a solo play for Slant Theatre Project (NYC). He is the Playwright in Residence and at PURE Theatre and a proud member of Actors’ Equity.
